Taylors of Harrogate

Since 1886, we’ve been travelling the world to find the finest teas to bring home to our family business in the historic spa town of Harrogate, England. That’s where we’ve perfected our blending expertise, tasting up to 1000 teas every day just to select the handful that meet our standards.

We build strong, long-term relationships with our producers and their communities to make a positive difference to the quality of our teas and the lives of the people who grow them.  It’s all about doing things properly

The company was founded in 1886 by a tea buyer named Charles Edward Taylor.  After spending so many years in the trade, Taylor brought his own two sons into the business to teach them everything that he’d learned.  The Taylors opened shops all over England, most notably in the trendy town of Harrogate, and quickly built an excellent reputation with their amazing teas.

Over the years, Taylors teas became synonymous with unparalleled flavor and quality.  The company takes no shortcuts when it comes to sourcing the finest ingredients for its teas, no matter how expensive or time-consuming that might be.  The extreme care that goes into handling the raw ingredients from harvest is evident in the quality of the final product.  House tasters tediously go through thousands of samples a day to ensure that nothing sub-par makes it into production. In fact, every single tea leaf is examined for freshness and quality.

Taylors of Harrogate has set such a high standard for its brews that the British Royal Family has selected the company to supply it with the top-notch creations.  If you’re an enthusiast of specialty beverages, Taylors coffee and tea will surely delight you with the first sip.  From black and green teas to Earl Grey and fusion teas, there’s something in the line-up for every tea fan to savor.  Each variety can be enjoyed as a stand alone beverage, but many pair up nicely with biscuits and other sweets.

Enjoy a Great Cup of Tea!
